Yes, in the United States 8th grade is middle school. Eight grade is the final year of middle school. In most school districts throughout the United States middle school is either grades 6th, 7th and 8th or just 7th and 8th.
Students in 8th grade usually enter 13 years old and leave 8th grade 14 years old. Trust me, I teach 8th grade in a western suburb of Chicago and these are the ages of my students.
What Is After 8th Grade?
At the end of 8th grade most schools will have a graduation ceremony for students. Once 8th grade is finished the students move on to high school.
